Canon g15 vs g9

I'll second the comments of Dale Buhanan and P.C. Wheeler as my experiences with the G9 and G15 are very similar. I have owned the G5, G6, G7, G9, G11, G12 and now the G15.
The G9 Vs G15 is interesting. On paper they look pretty similar; but the G15 feels a lot better, even if you have the Franiec grip on the G9. It feels surprisingly smaller and lighter but just as solidly built. Both have an OVF; but the design of the G7/G9's OVF is flawed - so the G15's is a lot better. The 3" LCD is also much better. The BIG difference is the lens, sensor and processor, and especially at high ISO. Even ISO 3200 is usable!
The G7/G9 lens was very good and better than the G10/11/12 lens. The G9 at 12 MP can resolve as much fine detail as the 14.7 MP G10, and does so with higher contrast. The G15 can match the G9, or maybe even exceed it; and easily out-resolves the 10MP G11/12.
If you liked the G9 (I did), you'll love the G15.
cant wait i do watch amazon and notice the price keeps dropping hope its not because a new model is coming in like a month or so ???
