Switching from dSLR to rx100

I am seriously thinking of ditching my dslr in favor of rx100.

I am a casual travel photographer who makes photos for his blog. I photo nature, people, architecture, but not really artistically, just photos to accompany texts. RX100 seems to offer acceptable quality and small size (at last!).

Why I consider switching to point-and-shoot?

- I am a bit tired of carrying 1kg on my shoulder. Also I go hiking light and its pretty bad that my camera takes a third of my weight

- I don't really use any modes except for A and P.

- Although I ocassionally shoot lowlight (I have 2.8 lens), low light performance is not essential for me.

My doubts is shutter speed, but the tests I saw have evidence of pretty nice speeds. Also IQ, it seems acceptable at 3200 and on my dslr I rarely shoot above that anyway.

Anyone can comment on that? What is your experience with rx100?

Sony RX100
