No this is correct : Olympus corrects distortion for all lenses coming with that info, including Panasonic lenses, and vignetting if you enable the shading compensation option. It doesn't correct CA however, which you can easily correct in post processing.

According to the tests I reported here

the E-M5 does not support shading compensation with Pany lenses. Don't know if the same is true or not with respect to other Oly bodies. Furthermore, I haven't checked whether anything has changed in this regard with later FW releases. My tests were with FW 1.1.
