Re: Any experience with the new 35 IS?

I have to chime in on this. I plaid the Sigma lottery with the Sigma 30… and lost. And went for Canon 35 1.4L instead. Great lens, had it for few years but sold it for Canon 50 1.2 when I decided to go FF. I got curious when Sigma announced change in strategy, i.e. classify all new lenses into 3 lines/groups and focus heavily on QC. So when the first review came about I had to test this for me self and am now a very happy owner of Sigma 35 1.4 A.  The build, the handling, the look and most importantly, the performance of this lens is completely different compared with my previous Sigma lenses. I for one prefer this lens to the Canon 35 1.4L. So much that  if Sigma comes with 50 1.4 A or 24 1.4 A, my 50L and 24iiL are at risk being replaced by Sigma.
