T4i (650D) Scene Intelligent Mode Auto Focus Point Selection Wrong?
Dec 27, 2012
Hey All,
My wife and I got a T4i for X-Mas this year. We have been trying to take some pictures with it, but when we use the "Green" Auto Mode (Scene Intelligent Mode) the autofocus seems to select points that we don't want more often than those we do. In the automatic mode you can't change the autofocus off of autofocus point selection to manual, which is what I did in the "P" mode (manually selected middle focus point). As a result of the focal point selection issues a lot of the photos are blurry because the camera was focused on a plant or something other than the people. If I switch to live view it works fine also.... any tips for getting the autofocus to select the things I am trying to focus instead of the background etc?
