5D3 Cold White Winter's Night in Stonebridge Ranch, McKinney Texas
McKinney had a sudden Christmas snowstorm. Christmas night was a mess, but the following night was still and perfect for a few scenic snaps.
Top Photo with the Log Fence taken using a Tripod, f/4, 2 seconds, ISO 200 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II, manual set up. Did not use live view on this snap, but sharpness is very good.
Photos taken about 45 - 60 minutes after sunset. It was dark. Did some post in LR4 to boost foreground shadows. Saved as a "5" quality for DP Review. Raw image is awesome. Night was still with no wind which helped long exposures.
Bottom shot was 10 seconds Long, Tripod, Live view, 2 second self timer, first curtain flash to add some foreground fill light, f/6.7 and ISO 200 and 28mm.
Since switching over to the new 24-70mm f/2.8L II, I could not be happier. My 24-105mm has not seen 5D3.
