I've struggled with the same issue, and it's one of the reasons I still show up with the huge equipment when I'm shooting for a client.  However, I may stop that.  If you Google the subject, you'll find several articles by noted pros who have made the transition.  In the end, it's the results that are important to your client and if you show them that there's no sacrifice in IQ because you're using more compact gear, they'll get over it.  For me, I'm still using the large equipment for paid work, but have stopped for my personal and travel photography.  Any investment I make in new equipment, however, is going to be for the m4/3 system.  For my 5D & L glass system, that's complete and I'm not buying anything else for it no matter what gets introduced.  It's just to big and heavy.
