In the area of what can you use a PC-E lens for . . .

I have the 45mm PC-E, and it's a wonderful close (near-macro) lens as well as giving you a lot of options for creative . . . stuff.

Just a couple of weeks ago we had it mounted to a Sony NEX FS-700 video camera, with the tilt rotated and tilted to minimize the DOF. Then, we ran the camera at 240fps in HD, moving it on a slider, doing a sweep of a logo on a product where each letter would pop into and out of focus as the camera moved along. Pretty sweet.

Or this one, which is a grab shot. Had a few minutes, so put the elements onto the top of a dog trailer, asked the guy to drive the Jeep over to put the trailer into the shade of a tree, and hand held the D700, using the tilt to try to grab a bit more DOF.
