Perhaps the 385 malware tests were not exactly what users will encounter. Viruses have been replaced by web-traps, it seems, as the principal threat currently.

What's a bit concerning is whether angry 3rd party anti-virus companies will purposely release viruses targeting Windows Defender to be able to continue to sell their product.  Just wondering.
