Do what you want to do to get the image you desire...not everything fits well in a 2x3 or 4x5, or "X" x "X" world.  And who ever said an image MUST have square corners or straight edges?

Photographic Paper manufactures started this by offering pre-cut sheets in "standard" sizes...
