OK, I'll chance it: what you call a "hidden cost" is called by most modern businesses and companies "Information Technologies Services" or IT/IS. You can either choose to be your own IT support, or hire it out. Either way, this should be part and parcel of your business. The real "hidden cost" is that of inaction. How much lost productivity, not to mention risk of system failure, are you incurring by not updating your IT systems?
