Using QImage, I routinely print images that have 150 pixels per inch of print without any issues. For your 14000x6000 image that would be 93" by 40".

In some cases I've gone as low as 100 pixels per inch. It depends on the image, the paper used, and expected viewing distance.  For your image that would be 140" by 60".

Most people would think these 100 ppi prints were great. DPReview pixel peepers like some of us here would notice the difference.
