Recommend modern equivalent to Colortran Minibroad?
I have a friend who made an artwork in the 1970s that used a 650W colortran minibroad to illuminate a space in a specific way. This isn't to take a photograph, but an artwork that used a photographic light. Since minibroads are now outmoded, I need a recommendation for a modern equivalent.
The desirable aspect is the wide spread, even illumination at this wattage/brightness. The spread is very wide, at about 3-4m from the light, having a spread of about 6-7m wide. Basically a floodlight.
Redheads are too narrow beam and other video production lights are way too powerful.
Additionally, the work needs to sit on a timer, on and off about every minute. This won't help bulb life. And maybe a dimmer too.
Grateful for any suggestions!
