Touching the screen would digitally zoom the screen at the point you touched. This lets you use the focus peaking more effectively with your manual lenses.

Ah, got ya. I do this but using the tri navi top dials while looking through the view finder. The touch would be useful on a tripod but I wouldn't miss it provided they continued with the Tri Navi system.

Now that is something I would be gutted if they done away with. When playing with the Nex 6 I missed it straight away.
