Kind of apples and oranges here.

You shoot with primes for max clarity and speed (low light capability as well as subject isolation). The only way to have speed is wide aperture, and the kit lens can not deliver that. Sure the Zeiss is going to have less distortion and micro-contrast, but few people will really care given the benefits of electronic post-production. The real benefit is subject separation and low-light performance, neither of which can really be achieved with the kit lens.

I primarily shoot legacy glass, and the kit lens (which is not bad optically) gets reserved for daylight video when I need to just capture the moment and not care about the feel of the results... about 2 minutes of use in the last 6 months if I'm being honest.
