Re: The Fuji is not a Bayer sensor (n/t)

According to Wikipedia: "A Bayer filter mosaic is a color filter array (CFA) for arranging RGB color filters on a square grid of photosensors."

The Fuji would qualify as a Bayer sensor. The pattern of the array is just different from most and Fuji didn't put a blur-filter in front of the sensor.

As someone pointed out, the logic here is faulty.  A bayer filter mosaic is a color filter array, and so is Fuji's X-trans, but the X-trans *is not* a Bayer sensor.  Their de-mosaicing is completely different and Fuji's allow you to take out the AA filter without having to deal with color moire issues (for the vast majority of cases).
