May not qualify...

According to Wikipedia: "A Bayer filter mosaic is a color filter array (CFA) for arranging RGB color filters on a square grid of photosensors."

The Fuji would qualify as a Bayer sensor. The pattern of the array is just different from most and Fuji didn't put a blur-filter in front of the sensor.

Sorry to point it out, but there might be a flaw in your conclusion.

A bayer filter is a color array. Fuji's filter is a color array, hence it is a bayer filter.

A cat is a 4 legged animal. Dogs are 4 legged animals, hence they are cats.

Mr Bayer was proud of his particular arrangement of RGB filters and he would probably not claim the Fuji as his own.
