Thoughts on the X-5
I have had the X-5 for a few weeks now. At first I was dissapointed and felt like selling it.
But slowly it is growing on me.
For a small sensor camera it performs quite well. Exposure is usually correct. Default settings put out a pretty lifelike jpg. NR is fairly brutal and no option to cut it down is offered, but I will not be printing larger than 12x8, it should produce reasonable prints.
I am pretty confident to set it to auto iso and a max of 400. I would alter this to 800 only in emergencies. Up to iso400 cleans up quite well in LR.
I am not sure if the stabilization works very much at all, still experimenting.
Full res at low quality (one star) seems ideal. I use the high speed continuous if I am running at slow S/S's at a long FL. This brings the res down to 5mp, but gets very sharp results at long FL's.
That's all for now. Any questions welcome.
