Back to film age in 2003... sunrise taken from bivacco (alpine shelter) Gratton, elev. 3200 m/10,500 ft. The mountain is Punta Tersiva (3515 m/11,500 ft) in NW Italian Alps

Stack of two images scanned from negative film (Kodak Portra 160 VC).

The first, taken just before sunrise, make the part under the horizon, the second, 3 min later, make the sky, sun and cloud over the top.

A very clear day after a snowstorm in the night, so you can't even think to take it in a single image. Besides the 20+ EV range, flare will kill every shadow detail.

I can't remember the exact shot data, I think around 1/125 f5.6 the first, 1/4000 f16 the second.

2003 mid-September. Pentax Z1 (PZ1), Pentax A400 + 1,4X L

Stunning shot, especially on film.  Nicely done!
