With that said, as a working pro I would be dead without my 24-70. This lens is fast, sharp and extremely versatile. It is also big and heavy and not always the best choice for everyone, especially if you are relatively new to photography.

Well, then, you must be lying about being a working pro. Few, if any, working pros use mid-range zooms. Really...I heard it from an expert on the subject.
