Re: Nikon service and "Impact Damage"

I had the same problem with an s9100 point and shoot.  Impact damage.  After much arguing, they decided to do a one time repair for free but not under warranty.  A favor.  This reminds me of an insurance company that routinely rejected my claims.  Only when I pursued the matter did I get the situation resolved.  I believe that some companies have an unwritten policy of rejecting all claims at first.  So many people will just pay the fee themselves that the policy is quite profitable for the company.  Sad that Nikon is apparently one of those companies.  Definitely do not back down.  And, good luck.
