badly scratched drop in polarizer gives surprising results

I have added it to my bookmarks

the polarizer for the 200 f2 Nikkor VR is a rear element which was why I was so concerned that I stopped using mine until I could get it fixed

it would be nice if I could just slip in a new polarizer glass into the holder, but Nikon did not make this simple work according to multiple camera repair folks with whom I discussed this

I believe this may not be worth the effort & will now use the polarizer without concern as I see no impact on IQ from this damage

I was surprised and pleased to see this
