Windows 7 put system files on network drive, can't access files

One thing I forgot to mention...

Before Windows 7 install on PC "A", I used to easily use Explorer to access shares on PC "B"

After booting into XP on PC "A" (which is on a HDD), if I use Explorer to look at the shared drives on PC "B" (all XP), I now see ONLY Windows 7 system files, same as the files on the SSD. But if I explore the same shares using the "Network Files" option, they do NOT show Win7 system files, but the original XP file structure.

Looking at the same drives, which are physically on PC "B" running XP only, I do NOT see the Win7 system files.

This is screwy. Did the Win7 install on a SSD physically affect my shares on a PC ("B") running XP?
