. . . The 135 might have less, but more importantly, it commonly has much shallower DOF, leading to more blurred bokeh in most usage scenarios . . .

no it does not

When you enter the data in a DOF calculator with a similar geometry e.g for the 35 mm lens a distance of 350 cm you get 123 cm DOF at f/2.0 - with the 135 mm lens at 1350 cm you get 119 cm (which is basically the same)

in both cases the same photographed object would have the same size - if I remember by mathematics lessons well

The giveaway to his arguement is "commonly", that makes it pretty clear that he's not talking about the same subject framing were DOF would be a objective technical matter but rather the more subjective matter of the kinds of subject framing users tend to go with at different focal lenghts, in this case the subject generally smaller in the frame at 35mm than at 135mm.

oh well - guessing - just wanted to outline the physical facts. If you use the same Aperture the same DOF will result.

Of course the framing and the usage of a 35 mm lens might be different to a 135 mm lens.

But not necessarily - it could be that you use both lenses in a similar way too.
