Creationists don't automatically dismiss the eyewitness evidence.  We test the eyewitness evidence for reliability before deciding to accept it.

I'm not sure we can say the same for Evolutionists.   They seem to ignore all the eyewitness evidence (a canyon that formed in 6 days) and draw their conclusions only on the forensic evidence which can be thrown off by several factors, eg. contamination/variability of samples.
