Overall I'm very happy with Windows 8. But I find the new user interface is less good than the old one if you're using a PC with mouse and no touch screen.

Try this... On the Metro Start screen do a right click on a non-tile area and then click on "All Apps".  You get a nicely categorized screen of all apps, applications, and utilities.  I find this much more efficient than trying to drill down through the old W7 start screen.

I've had W8 for a month now and love it.  The first few days I wanted to throw it against the wall.  Now I wouldn't even consider downgrading to W7.
