Yes, you did! There's no way that the camera is going to get WB right in that situation. Our eyes/brain are amazing at compensating for color temperature. But in situations like this that amazing ability doesn't clue us in to potential difficulties with our more limited photographic tools.

Thanks for your comments. As you say, our eye/brain combination makes light of these problems.


That's why it's always good to have RAW at hand, even at these extreme situations you would be able to get a decent image with some fiddling in WB and color balance.
