Re: a850 "beyond economicaly repairable" from internal condensation

I have two a850’s and carry both on trips away from home just in case something like this happens.

Last year I was covering occupy in Portland, Washington state, San Francisco and in Oakland.

In Oakland I got hit with a water cannon and my a850 survived but my Zeiss 24-70/f2.8 got wet and fogged-up.

I sent it in for repairs and three months later is came back.

I think it cost me about $600.00 or so to get it back into shape.

I’m looking at options now for a full-frame replacement for my a850 and I one of the things I’m looking at is how well sealed the body is and then build-out a new kit with lenses than offer some protection better than what my Sony/Zeiss setup offers

Good luck!!!
