Yes, they come with the the OEM chip, yes, you need a resetter and they sell that also.

Precision Colors sells Image Specialists ink, this great ink matches the OEM ink color wise the best out of all the usual great 3rd party inks. If you are not going to generate custom ICC profiles then this is probably the best ink to use, if you are going to produce your own custom ICC profiles then OCP ink from Rjettek is a great ink and will cost you about 30 cents per refill. OCP needs the custom ICC profiles to match the OEM colors. I only use OCP anad have tried Image Specialist inks but just like the OCP better and I do generate my own custom ICC profiles.

So they come with a chip on them, but they are not reset already? Doesn't make too much sense to me

Now you are talking a completely different language to me. What is "generate custom ICC profiles" ?? The only thing i do is select the type of paper that the printer drivers show, like glossy plus II or something. I am in the process of buying more paper, like the 13x19 type, and i know there are different types, you got me completely lost now

I just spoke with Mike, from Prescision Colors.  Basically i don't need to know all this technical stuff about profiling for what i do, and i will need to buy one of those RESETTERS and i will be good to go.  Thank you for your input on this, i am looking forward in saving alot of money.
