Yeah, most people here make valid points.

I use both 4x5 and my D800 on most shoots.


They look different. I think so, my clients think so. I use my 4x5 as the primary camera, and the D800 as a backup.

There are things the D800 can do that film can't, especially with modern lenses. That said, if you've never used film, and you just want to experiment, go for it. You may at the end of the experiment wish you'd never spent the money, and wish you'd bought that super expensive Nikon 35mm/1.4 lens instead. I dunno. Depends on what you like to shoot, and how you like to work.
