Why no matte screens?
Tablet screens are operated by finger gestures, therefore need to be smooth in order to offer as little resistance as possible. Friction is the enemy gesture-based input. Secondly, matte screens retain oily deposits from fingers much more readily than smooth glossy surfaces and are much more difficult to clean. In short, matte screens and tablet computers do not belong together.
