That lens appears to be excellent. How is the focus etc for BIFs working for you with that camera?
Beautiful shots. Especially the second.
The E-M5 camera and the 100-300mm F4.0-5.6 (200-600mm in 35mm) combo are not well suited for BIF. A large DSLR would be a better choice with a faster lens. Phase detect AF is also superior to contrast detect for BIF.
I have shot volleyball and surfing with some success with the E-M5, so I imagine I could also shoot some large slow moving BIF.
I was very pleased with the detail on the all white egrets, on a bright day at around noon. These shots exceeded my expectations under these adverse conditions.
