I am using both lenses and don't want to miss the 28 for street shooting.

But for everything else the zoom is the better choice. Aside from a distortion you can live with at 24mm it is excellent. It is very light weight, perfectly made to hold the camera and very fast to use. At 3200 ASA it is much better than the A12 units and therefore very good usable in darker rooms like churches and museums, and it works silently. I use it as step zoom only. So it is like using six prime lenses (28 to 90 nearly perfect ones) you don't need to change.
