With the (very reliable) rumor that Canon will update its 45 and 90 til shift lenses, why does Nikon not take this market segment seriously and make some proper PC-E lenses? Even those that own them admit they are far from perfect.

I almost bought a used 5D MKIII just so I could have the 24 and 17 TSE! Then I came to my senses.

I think it shows you the difference between the two companues outlooks personally.

Canon to me looks like its more focused on the lower and higher ends of the market to me with Nikon somewhere inbetween.

When it comes to lenses I think the result of that is Canon having more decent quality value options like say the 17-40mm or 70-200mm f/4's, Nikon arguebley having the stronger core lineup of more widely used quality lenses but lacking the speicalist lenses such as the 17mm TSE, the 65mm MP-E or the 85mm 1.2, lenses that are deal breakers/makers for many people who use them.
