Lens choice for Havasu Falls?
I will be backpacking to Havasu Falls in Grand Canyon during this Christmas. I am trying to decide which lens to carry as I want to reduce the weight of my backback.
I use 1Ds Mark III. I have 3 candidates: 17-40, 24-105 and 70-200 F4. Usually in backpacking trip I take 17-40 and 70-200. But after browsing a few photos, it seems to me that most good photos in that area were taken by wide angel lenses. So I am thinking of taking the 17-40 alone.
Hope someone has been there to share the experience. Do you need a focal length longer than 40?
Thank you very much!
