Best budget walk around
Re: Best budget walk around
Another vote for the Canon 15-85. Bought it to replace the kit 18-55 which is an OK lens but not a real tough workhorse. Also wanted a little more reach than 55. The 15-85 fits my needs very well. The extra 3mm on the WA end is very welcome. That lens is my usual walkaround do-it-all lens. Only negative is the lens creep that most of these lenses exhibit due to heavy glass. I fixed it in mine with a narrow rubber band between the focus and zoom rings. But I always expect someone to ask me why I have a 2 cent rubber band holding my expensive lens together.
