EC & lenses on the G5

Lawrence Becker wrote:

what others said about the zoom lever on the G5 is correct- pretty slick.

I use it for EC and it is the most ergonomic implementation of EC I have found in any camera. Right next to the shutter and adjusts quickly and reliably.

Think also about the new 2.8 constant aperture zooms- the 12-35 and 35-100. Pricey, but from all accounts two of the best m4/3 lenses available. Had they been available two months ago when I bought my G5, I would have jumped on them instead.

I bought the 12-35. Very expensive, but I don't regret it and I figure I'll have it for ever and upgrade bodies once in a while... The extra 2mm on the short end makes a big difference vs. the kit lenses, as does the extra stops.
