Some DP1 Merril first test results

Spent a little time making test shots with the new DP1m.  I'm almost of a mind to return it to Adorama, but not quite yet. The images certainly are sharp and full of detail.  But:

1) Colors are not as "natural" as those from my DP1s.  Distant green or green/reddish conifer hill sides are a distinctly exaggerated blue.  Distant sunstruck haze goes oddly greenish.

2) Distinct green image corners and margins--again with another Sigma.

3) The amount of purple fringing looks excessive in some images and when it appears strongly, not all of it can be removed in Photoshop camera raw.

4) There is much less highlight headroom in 100 ISO.  Is it true 100 ISO is really the old 50 as in the SD14?  And the DP1m 200 ISO is the old 100 ISO?  Or is the lower headroom at all speeds?

I picked what landscapes were available in low sun--somewhat stark, yellow/brown, dry Montana grasslands--scenes that always seem to challenge most cameras.  But the DP1 Merrill is not producing proper colors or images that measure up to the examples shots I've seen posted about online.  In contrast, my DP1s is a true color little champ--even with its green margins.

The current firmware in the DP1m is 1.01.  Auto focus works fine and reasonably fast.  Manual focus was a little of a surprise--the focus ring will take you right passed infinity to an all-over-fuzzy beyond--you have to really center the scale to the infinity symbol.

Anyway, Adorama's return policy includes the requirement that the camera not be used at all if it is to be returned--and I've shot about 60 photos.

Anyway--does any of the above description sound familiar or not at all?
