I am starting to suspect that my EX1 LCD screen is not as bright as it was a few years ago when it was new, I have now switched it to Bright setting and it still seems not too brilliant, especially in the summer sun. I am not sure yet as there has been a few very hot days peaking at about 36deg C here.

Anyone else think the LCD screens could be losing their brightness with age ? Wonder what the design life is of the screens.

Hi!

My EX1 from new was never great in the summer sun. Or the bright sun of the tropics. Fine on a less bright or cloudy day. That is why I got the OVF. Nice and bright. I also shoot mostly at max wide angle and in 4:3 (10MP) so for framing it seems to work OK.

However, hope yours is dying on you. Of course if it does that could be the reason (excuse) to purchase a new EX2F.

Thanks

Whoops. Sorry Brian...

Meant to say 'hope yours isn't dying on you!'

Sorry!
