18-55 lens humming on X-E1
Got the 18-55 on Monday and as I was playing with it just before hitting the hay I noticed a slight hum from the lens. The pitch is not constant so I figured it must be the OIS. Disabling the OIS lowers the hum (loudness, not frequency) and the pitch is still not constant. It couldn’t be aperture blade because the lens cap is on and it couldn’t be electric hum because it runs on DC and the pitch is not constant.
Not really an issue because it is only audible six inches away in a very very quiet room but I am just wondering if anyone else noticed something similar.
