D800 Battery grip DOA

Yes I have the switch in the unlocked position and have moved it from unlock to lock several times.

I just called nikon and they had me do a hardware reset but it did not help. They advised me to go to an auhorized nikon dealer to have them check.

The problem is it the grip or communication problem. it appears it is communicating as the battery is being used.

I would lke to know if it is the grip or the camera. the only way I know now is to go authorized dealer and have them put the grip on another camera. if it will not operate then I will return the grip to B&H.
