It looks quite similar to the problem K-5 cameras have had, with oil on the sensor. Luckily most have been had excellent service by Pentax, and many K-5 have been replaced without charge.

Sad to hear you possibly have been affected by a similar problem!

Yes, I was quite sad at the time. Sold all my DX gear an was gearing up for FX. Put those plans on hold and was using my wife's Canon T3. It has been a real nice little camera, great for snapshots and the like. I have not seen any exposure issues and low light looks pretty good. This has led me to my current testing of the 5D mark III and lenses. When I first held it I like the grip, but the controls BLAH! Now I have used it a few times and it is growing on me especially since the price has dropped. Hopefully, soon Nikon will announce the problem fixed and ship cameras without this issue from the factory. (Yeah, I know just clean it every 1000 or so unusable shots until it goes away on it's own)*eyes rolling*
