If you need mainly close to 20 either your D800 is defective or you are using a test system where AF may not be accurate - see page 100 of the instruction book for guidance.

Posting a link to your test set up can help you get good feedback

So far at dpreview nobody seems to have posted a link confirming they tested with a good standard, and I make it 94 have posted links showing they did not use a reliable target before complaining.

It seems most (maybe all) dpreview complaints with links have more to do with the posters failure to test to a good standard than an equipment fault.

Why do I say "most" rather than all with a 94 to nil result? It is possible some equipment might still show a fault tested to a good standard - but without good testing nobody knows
