My S90 flash just died, now I know why the "orange" wb when using flash!

After a couple of years of usage through sand, water, humidity, bangs and knocks, wind, seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes my s90 flash finally died but the camera still works.

Now I know why my photos still looks orange even though I use tungsten white balance and white balance trim to b3 or b4.

Since my flash does not emit the flashlight but it does pops up, I have my white balance on tungsten and white balance trim at b3 and the photo still looks orange even though on the lcd it is not(took the photo under tungsten light).

So I am wondering, does canon forces the white balance to go to "orange" even though I have the white balance on tungsten and white balance trim to b3? The reason is that my flash pops up but does not emit the flashlight so the s90 thinks that I am using flash and force the orange color even though my wb is on tungsten and white balance trim to b3?

You might want to try to pop up your flash, put a black electrical tape on the flash, change the white balance to tungsten and white balance trim to b3, does your photo under tungsten light still looks monochromatic "orange?"
