I posted the wrong pic - that was from my NX200 with a totally different lens. I disagree with your assessment of what makes 'terrible' or 'busy' bokeh unless we're making direct comparisons to a FF camera and pricey portrait lens.

I'm not claiming the 50mm 1.7 has fantastic wide open solid/smooth bokeh, since it does have nisen qualities to specular highlights and bright lights especially, but you can mitigate it somewhat by avoiding over-clarifying in post and overall I wouldn't say it's absolutely as bad as you're saying.

Some examples of nice bokeh from this lens that isn't 'terrible':

Great pics here and more along what I have experienced with mine.  If I wasn't at work I would open my LR and find some pics to add to the discussion that the bokeh on this lens is not as horrible as some think.
