forget the SX240

Since you mentioned evening walks, forget the Canon SX240.   I have the SX260 and in twilight, the autofocus is inaccurate more often than not.  When I load the pictures on a computer, they are fuzzy.   I have owned three other Canon cameras that I thought quite good (500HS, SX40, S5IS) so I thought the SX260 was a sure thing.  Unfortunately not.

In twilight, I find my Sony HX20V is focusing quite accurately.  So I always leave the SX260 at home and take the HX20V for twilight strolls.

From what I have read in reviews, I would expect the Fuji 770 to be doing fine in twilight as well.  But I don't know anyone that has one to try out.
