I've noticed a lot of posts the last few days where I had to scroll both vertically and horizontally to see the entire picture.

If you are posting an original image, theres no way around this, but if you are resizing the pic for this forum try keeping the horizontal size under 480 pixels, and the vertical size under 600 pixels, and most people won't have to scroll to see your pic. This way we can see your pic the way it was intended...

Heres a couple examples to show that a pic as small as 480x600 can still look good...enjoy!

You can resize to a maximum width of 488 before the scroll bars appear. The verticle height doesn't bug me quite as much, but your 600 pixel figure is probably reasonable, although not always practical or possible for the specific shot the artist may want to display.

...you have 488 pixels...but if you stop at 480 you have a matte of white with no real loss.

Nr 1: nice girl; a pity that she isn't wearing a g-string

Nr 2: very nice girl!! Nice tits with visible (hard) nipples ... great!

If one is using IE(windows) you do not have to scroll unless the image is bigger then your screen resolution.. Just click on the image and it expands to width(sort of floats in front of everything) which is a rather nifty little script. Don't know about other browsers or mac

I'm new to posting pics but I pasted in the URP and a link appears instead of the pic, am I missing a code to have it viewed on the same page? a herf= or something like that I forget. Thanks for the help.

David,

Aside from clicking on the pic to maximize it, if you use
MSIE, click on View/Toolbars/Customize and add a full-screen
icon to your toolbar. This works particularly well with a mouse
that has forward and back buttons on the side. You can
navigate around dpreview without nothing on the screen but
what you want to see - no title bars, no menus, no address box,
nothing. Just point at the top of the screen to restore normal
viewing whenever you need to.

Or... just hit the F11 key for the same full screen view. Hit it again, then you're back where you started.

F11, cool, thanks. New trick for me...

....I didn't know about the f11, good to know.

But you guys! I'm trying to get people to make an effort to resize their pictures to work within a space....just showing people they don't have to post enormous files to present a sharp image.

I was also looking for an excuse to give you all a couple pretty girls...!! wink
