E-M5 tripod socket damage

Also, there's an ugly bulge around the tripod mount. I can not imagine it being the result of anything less that some pretty excessive/violent forces being applied to it. Something similar (wind knocked down my tripod) happened to my 350D some years ago, Canon service wanted 280 euros to fix it, so i kept it in that state for 2 whole years. Camera worked fine otherwise.
