Re: 60D vs 600D trade off

My friend was in the same situation as you he wanted to get the 600 because it was cheaper..

I told him the that using the 600D would be some what limiting him.
First the 9AF points on the 600D has 1 cross type.. 60D has 9AF all cross points, Outer AF points can still grab focus in difficult /low light scenes.
Slightly faster burst rate on the 60D, Better battery you can go close to 1000 images or even more or about 2hrs- 2.5hrs of video with 1 battery. Also If you are planing to Upgrade to 7D or 5D, they all use the same battery.

60D has much better viewfinder. higher shutter speed(1/8000) then 600D(1/4000)

And the Top LCD. I have a 7D also and that top LCD is just a must. no need to fiddle with menu's or the need to look inside the VF. Tho on the 60D there is no dedicated button for WB. But you can assign a custom button I think..

In the end 60D is a much better camera.

My friend got a 60D with a Tamron f2.8 17-50mm VC. And he has been very happy with it.
