It is not likely the Mirror box itself causes a problem.  But it could be the shutter and/or mirror mechanism, and related lubing.  I would be surprised if the D600 uses the same exact shutter and production line as the D4 or D800.  Probably a lower quality shutter system and maybe even a different vendor.  Pure speculation, however.
